How it works

This tool helps residents of Windsor, Ontario know exactly when electricity is cheapest based on Enwin Utilities' Time-of-Use (TOU) pricing schedule set by the Ontario Energy Board.

What the price means

The price shown (e.g., 8.7¢/kWh) is the cost per kilowatt-hour. This only includes the electricity commodity cost and does not include delivery or regulatory charges.

Schedule Changes

The rules change twice a year:

• Summer (May 1 - Oct 31): Weekday afternoons (11am-5pm) are the most expensive (On-Peak) because of air conditioning demand.
• Winter (Nov 1 - Apr 30): Weekday mornings (7am-11am) and evenings (5pm-7pm) are the most expensive as people wake up and return from work.
• Weekends & Holidays: Always Off-Peak (the cheapest rate) 24/7!
